Michael Paul Cartledge II, Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Michael Paul (he/him) is a practical theologian at Princeton Theological Seminary and teaches courses on disability, neurodiversity, mental health, and Christian ministry. While he completed his PhD, Michael Paul served as the Lead Researcher for the development of the online course, Cultivating God’s Brainforest, which explores youth ministry and neurodiversity. Michael Paul also earned an MDiv and MA in Christian education and formation from Princeton Seminary, and he received the Senior Fellowship in Practical Theology for his master’s thesis, which explored Christian liturgy as a formational source and resource for persons with depression. He has also received the John Havran Award for Excellence in Christian Education and the William Tennant Award for Teaching. He earned a BA from Stetson University in communication and media studies and has served in ministry as a youth worker, worship leader, and pastoral assistant. His research focuses on educational ministry with persons suffering from depression. Cartledge lives in Princeton with his spouse, Samara, and their four children.
