In collaboration with the Black Theology and Leadership Institute (BTLI), the Certificate in Youth and Black Theology is a three-month, hybrid, cohort-based program designed for Black leaders in youth ministry. Gain expertise from leaders and experts in our extensive network of scholars and practitioners.
Our curriculum includes full participation in two on-campus events, plus a digital book study and contextual assignment to help you connect the dots between youth ministry and leadership in the Black church. Join us for our 2022 pilot cohort, where we will experience life-changing learning through this one-of-a-kind certificate program.
A cohort emphasizing peer-to-peer learning and vocational friendship.
Two in-person events:
- The Forum on Youth Ministry (May 3-5, 2022), $289 registration fee
- The Black Theology and Leadership Institute (July 10-15, 2022)
(This event features a partnership with the Katie Geneva Cannon Center in 2022, and holds an emphasis on womanist theology.)
2022 date TBD
Book: The Spiritual Lives of Young African Americans, Author: Almeda Wright
