Regardless of our political views or the demographics we use to divide the people in our country, it is evident that in this current season many people are feeling anxious, scared, forgotten, and left out. May we, as followers of Jesus, lead the way in creating a world where all shall be well.

The band keeps singing about ‘the precious blood’ and ‘nothing but the blood’, and camp staff is praying about ‘the gift of the blood of Jesus,’ and I don’t think these kids have any idea what we’re talking about.
American Christians have interpreted the story as being about God’s judgment on the sexual practices of the men in these towns. However, anyone who knew anything about Ancient Near Eastern Culture knew this story was about hospitality.
